300 boys join summer football clinic
Three hundred young boys participated in the summer football clinic conducted by the Negros Oriental Football Assn. Inc. coaches and trainers from April 9 to May 19, at the Silliman University football field in Dumaguete City, a press release from organizers said.
The event, sponsored by Dumaguete City, was attended by Stefan Waldburger, a Swiss-Filipino whose mother hails from Dumaguete. A managing director of a consultancy firm based in Fribourg, Switzerland, Waldburger has been coming home since 2006.
Stefan assisted NORFA president Dick Emparado in distributing awards and assortment of football shoes, balls and goalkeeper gloves, to the outstanding participants of the clinic, the press release added. (www.visayandailystar.com)
