The provincial government has allotted P3 million for the complete renovation of the roofing of the Negros Oriental Sports and Cultural Complex, in preparation for the Philippine National Games this month in Dumaguete City.
The province and city will host the PNG from May 26 to June 3, that is expected to gather thousands of athletes, coaches and visitors.
Gov. Roel Degamo said the amount is enough to complete the renovation since the roof has holes due to corrosion, having been built during the first term of the late Gov. Emilio Macias II.
He said they are evaluating sports facilities in the province to ensure that these are ready for the Philippine National Games.
